What do we do at KGF?
We cook and deliver fresh, nutritious, homestyle meals to children in childcare every day. Our qualified chefs have been refining our menus since 2002, creating meals that are both delicious and healthy. The early years are a crucial time for developing lifelong eating habits. Introducing children to a varied, balanced diet not only gives them the best start in life but also supports their ongoing health, growth and development. We use high quality, fresh ingredients and a wide range of flavours and textures to craft meals that meet, if not exceed, the latest nutritional guidelines for children in care.
Healthy catering for children
We work with nutritionists, dietitians and national advisory groups to ensure the highest nutritional standards. Our 6 week rotational menu is designed to include foods from all five food groups recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines. Our healthy, balanced meals feature a variety of fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables, legumes, wholegrains and seeds, lean fresh meat and fish and dairy options. We also provide a wide selection of fresh fruit and raw vegetables for morning and afternoon tea and steamed vegetables at lunchtime - making every meal wholesome, nutritious and enjoyable for children.

At KGF, we know mealtimes are about more than just nutrition. They’re an opportunity for children to explore new flavours and textures, enjoy positive, sociable experiences and develop lifelong healthy eating habits. We’re passionate about sharing our love of food through a diverse and creative menu that sparks curiosity and interest. We also work closely with centre staff to make mealtimes one of the most enjoyable and important parts of the day.
